It is said that one of the biggest secret of great men is not that they learnt so well enough not to fail that but they refused to quit.

There is something awesome about ‘doing’ that actually sets winners apart from losers. Many of us have been told of how much we should dream, “oh yes, dream big” but we are often not told to wake up and start “doing” our dreams.

Maybe that is why, the graveyard may continue to be the richest place on earth.

According to motivational speaker Les Brown, “The graveyard is the richest place on earth, because it is here that you will find all the hopes and dreams that were never fulfilled, the books that were never written, the songs that were never sung…..”. Quite true!.

Today one of the world’s most celebrate Athlete Usain Bolt is confident in his thought that his dreams were nothing if he continued to dream. At least he did that “as a child” he said.

“But I stopped dreaming and started doing” he added in a facebook on his wall.

The 29-year-old Jamaican sprinter who is regarded as the fastest person ever timed has on several occasions been asked his secret to success and this has been a tough one for him. Tough because it sounds more like a rhetoric to many people but is actually what works for him, and this is “stop dreaming and start doing”.

Usain is recalled to have spent several hours training even when there was no major event planned. Although he didn’t really believe in his abilities during his early days and was quite laid back with his approach towards the sports, he showed a lot of enthusiasm and readiness to achieve after guidance from his former coach.

Today, we learn something valuable from Usain Bolt, in whatever you want to do, don’t just dream about it, start doing it!

“Because it’s the power of DOING that makes dreams happen” – Usain Bolt.
