Many are used to the long well written, well rehearsed and and properly delivered speeches intended to inspire company staff to do more or encourage them on how to work at the best.
Well, this wasn’t in the case of former Chief Executive of one of the world’s largest firm, Coca Cola, Bryan Dyson.
At a meeting he took the rather unusual approach to deliver a 30 seconds long speech emphasising on work activities and social relations.
This is what he said;
“Imagine life as a game in which you are juggling some five balls in the air. They are Work, Family, Health, friends and Spirit and you’re keeping all of these in the air.
You will soon understand that work is a rubber ball. If you drop it, it will bounce back. But the other four Balls – Family, Health, Friends and Spirit – are made of glass. If you drop one of these they will be irrevocably scuffed, marked, nicked, damaged or even shattered. They will never be the same. You must understand that and strive for it.”
“Work efficiently during office hours and leave on time. Give the required time to your family, friends & have proper rest.”
Its this just one fantastic piece of advice?
