The Osei-Kusi foundation has officially launched this year’s Community Service Awards (CSA) aimed at encouraging volunteerism and community service among Ghana‘s youth especially those in tertiary institutions.
The awards scheme, which is in its 3rd year, is an initiative of the Osei-Kusi Foundation and Selfless for Africa Incorporated.
Shortlisted applicants will pitch their idea live at a grand event where the team with the most innovative and feasible idea will be rewarded with GHs10,000 (7,000 towards implementation of project and 3,000 as cash award).
A statement issued by the foundation said the competition was open to all youth in the country from any tertiary institution.
The annual Community Service Awards is endorsed by the Ministry of Education, National Youth Authority, Association of Ghana Industries and the Head of State Awards.
Shortlisted applicants will make public presentations of their ideas in June this year.
