Media personality and host of Citi FM’s Breakfast Show, Bernard Koku Avle and revered Ghanaian rapper, Michael Okyere Darko, popularly known in media circles as Obrafour will take their turn on Sunday, May 22, 2016 at the third series of Role Model Africa.

Role Model Africa is an open mentoring initiative that engage successful individuals in various fields of endeavour to share their secrets and stories with the African youth to inspire and urge them to greatness.

The event has in its previous editions, featured Ghanaian business magnate, Mr. Caleb Ayiku and former World Bank Official Dr. Samuel Onwona.

Bernard Avle, a well-known Ghanaian media personality was recently adjudged one of Ghana’s 20 most influential business leaders under age 40 by the Business World Magazine.

The director of News at Citi FM, who will be the youngest role model to be hosted on the Corporate Dialogue platform, had his show adjudged the most Interactive/Talk Show of the year by BBC’s Africa Radio Awards in 2007.

His media career has spans more than a decade, serving in both junior and senior levels in radio broadcasting and management.

Bernard will relate how he started off as a volunteer broadcast journalist at the University of Ghana‘s ‘Radio Univers’ to his current role at Citi FM.

Bernard Avle’s role at the FM station records how he oversees a team of young hardworking news professionals produce and cover news for Ghana and by extension, several audiences online.

Invents Role Model Africa

He is a Edward R Murrow Fellow of Journalism who is also a Chevening Scholar.

Obrafour, born, Mr. Michael Okyere Darko, a very successful Ghanaian artiste and revered rapper is expected to throw light on his experiences in music and business and how both can be fused.

The founder of Execution Records Label has succeeded in using his platform to unearth several talents on Ghana’s music scene.

With several hit songs in the 90s to the early 2000s, the multiple award-winning artiste will centre his delivery on leveraging skills to sustain the entertainment industry.

The broad theme for the third Role Model Africa series is “Projecting New Frontiers in Media and Entertainment to Sustain the African Business”.

According to the convener of Role Model Africa, Mr. Samuel Agyeman-Prempeh the program is opened to the general public and will attract key stakeholders from various parts of Africa.

Role Model Africa is an initiative by INVENTS, a human capital development organization that focuses on raising young people as leaders and entrepreneurs.
